View Article  Is there any such thing as risk-free rock climbing ?
Indoor climbing does involve reduced risk as the anchors and safety equipment (usually available for hire for a small fee) will be regularly checked. However, there remains the risk of failing to tie in properly, fasten the harness securely or for an absent minded belayer to fail to arrest a fall so so even indoors it is not 100% risk free....   more »

View Article  Why improve the perfect Crampons ?

With most manufacturers striving to acheive excellence with their products it's hardly surprising that very few items of hardware survive multiple seasons without at least one minor change of design to make them 'new and improved.'

Little wonder then that most magazine reviews are about how a product has evolved from some earlier less-worthy incarnation. So how much more refreshing it is to see that CAMP (www.camp.it) has produced a near perfect product first time round in the shape of the 12 point Stalker Crampons which although having been around for a while have achieved a best value award from Trail Magazine.

Trail Magazine Review of CAMP Stalker Crampons

"the best value C1 crampon on the market"
