The KSA Journals are a trade specialist newsletter that targets outdoors and cycle sports. The model 44 appealed particularly because by being worn around the neck, this sophisticated piece of navigation and weather prediction equipment can be kept out of vibration, weather and other harms way during even the most extreme cycling (or mountaineering) event.

"Every day it gets easier to use the muti-functional Barigo 44 that has the digital compass, clock, altimeter, barometer and a lap timer encased in an unobtrusive palm sized gadget you hang on a neck-strap.

Each day, too, I am reading information that enhances the understanding of what is going on under the big, open sky - air pressure readings, barchart for pressure changes and weather forecast with symbols. In addition the instrument shows an altitude profile and allows me to store the maximum/minimum heights as well as total ascendings. Today the high pressure readings that pleased have passed - a cloud symbol with a 965 reading confirms it’s the weekend after all, information in a package that helps to plan your days in the hills, or know when to stop!

Barigo was a find at Go Outdoors, marketed by ClimbHigh UK out of Southam. More information from sales@climbhigh.co.uk or phone them on 0871 98 99 818."
