Regular readers will know that we are big fans of Montane clothing and have been for a long while. Its great to see that the press are increasingly recognising this British brand for what it is - a leader in the field of high quality outdoor garments for serious users in serious situations. The only down side is I have to write more and more of these quirky intros to magazine reviews.

Since Climber Magazine is one of the most highly respected mags out there for those of us that love the feel of cold rock against our fingertips, it was great to read the Climber Magazine review of the trully brilliant Montane eVent Spectra Pants and the Montane eVent Superfly Jacket - two garments that work just as well in a British winter as they do on even the most extreme Alpine route.

With snow in Sunerland this morning and even here in Sunny Warwickshire we had an inch or so last weekend it is really looking like we're in for a proper winter ... so get your cold-weather gear on and get out there.
