UK's Channel five just finished screening the entire 5 days of Britains Strongest man 2007 competition held in Minehead.  From a field of twenty competitiors, Terry Hollands was the only one to manage a perfect score in the heats and then led the final from start to finish in spite of some very tough competition from Mark Felix. Geoff Capes presented Terry with a fitting trophy, a gigantic sword - perfect for cutting though the traffic in his home town of Dartford.

Terry has whopping size 53 / UK 17 feet ( perfectly in proportion for such a large chap) so needs specially made climbing shoes for events that require the ultimate in grip. Garra originally developed the Non-Stop for climbing purposes but it has now been adopted by many strong-man competitors as the ideal shoe for truck pull, tyre flip and other events when non-slip high grip, high strength footwear is essential.

The Garra Non-Stop was also worn by the popular Jimmy Marku in the BSM07 heats and final and narowly missed the 3rd place spot to achieve a stunning performance overall ... definitely a competitor to watch for the future.

Immediately after winning the truck pull at the London leg of the World's Strongest man during the summer, Terry yelled over to me "it's the shoes!" although I doubt they could have pulled the truck without a little help from Terry !

The GARRA NON-STOP sports shoe

Available in black or gold, the slight heel rise and relatively comfy fit of the Non-Stop climbing shoe is ideal for strength competition where one piece leather construction gives incredible strength while the slick rubber sole is like having formula one car tyres welded to your feet.
