Quality , styling and functionality are obviously all up there as key initiatives but true cutting edge technology is only available when the manufacturer 'takes part' in the sports concerned and listens and acts on feedback from customers, competitors and professionals , not just in annual board meetings, but regularly, as part of everyday life.
 
Montane have always shown a willingness to participate and in our opinion have an exceptional track record for introducing change to their styles ( sometimes even mid-season ) that constantly seek to improve on what initially seem like unimprovable designs. Clearly this is why there are now so many pretenders that copy the Montane products albeit invariably of inferior substance. Keeping up with the front runner is hard, and Montane seems dedicated to staying in front ... which is great for those of us that want the genuine article and the extra performance and kudos that brings.
 
This year Montane has supported various events including the Sheffield Cliffhanger bouldering championships, Yukon Arctic Ultra, Montane Lakeland 100, Montane Kielder 100, Montane Highland Fling, Catlin Arctic Survey and the Coastal Raid Series in 2009!
